Mouso core worker process

My computer (Windows 10, 64-bit Build 19041) is constantly waking up from sleep and then going back to sleep for a short time only to repeat the cycle.  I ran sleep diagnostics on the Windows PowerShell as administrator i.e. powercfg /systemsleepdiagnostics.  The report from yesterday (5/31/2020) indicates that my computer awoke from sleep 50-55 times during the course of the day until at about 8:00 p.m., I decided that it was better to fully shut down the computer rather than have these continued cycles.  The common thread in all these awakenings from sleep is MoUSO Core Worker Process (MoUsoCoreWorker.exe).

This executable is a Microsoft programming element. 

 Why is this happening and what can I do to eliminate this totally annoying phenomena?

    WHYYYY is this still broken?

    Do Asus and Microsoft even care?

    I literally have to do this for every process that doesnt let my pc sleep.

    Here is the fix (worked for me at least).

    tl;dr [Run the Windows Update Troubleshooter]

    1. Open 'Troubleshoot Settings' (Win Key, start typing it, press it)
    2. Press 'Additional Troubleshooters'.
    3. Press 'Windows Update'.
    4. Run the update Troubleshooter.

    Mine found errors and resolved them.

    1. RESTART.
    2. Open CMD in Admin and run 'powercfg -requests' to see if the glitch is still there (mine had gone at this point)
    3. Run Windows Update and look for updates. Now, when I opened mine, there was an error shown 'Failed to Install', I think this was the issue causing that exe to run constantly, and it was the Adobe Flash removal update!

    Let that update now hopefully run correctly, and when it says update installed, go back to CMD, press the up arrow key to show last command and press enter to see if the exe isn't listed... hopefully it isn't and all is back to normal.

    If memory serves this isn't the first time I've had to run this same process to fix an update issues causing sleep errors.

    Restart Windows Update Service

    • Open Command Prompt in Administrator mode and execute this command: powercfg /requests
    • If you see MoUsoCoreWorker.exe listed anywhere, then it’s because of the Windows Update
    • Open Service Manager, locate Windows Update service, and restart it.
    • Rerun the Power Config command, and check if the listing of MoUsoCoreWorker.exe is gone.

    My sources say Microsoft is in the process of shipping a fix, but no ETA. In the meantime, the absence of any communication from Windows engineering is notable.

    Same here. Happening monthly.

    I concur, a lot of electricity is being wasted unnecessarily here. Can Microsoft please do something about this issue?
