why my windows is not ready for update

"Windows 10 May 2020 Update is on its way" still shows in Windows Update on my PC... It's now 8 months past May 2020, and still waiting on the update to be available on my PC. This has to be yet another MS bug... why would it take so many months for an update to be available?

I am pleased I'm not the only one with the same issue.  Very frustrating!  Does anyone know how we can solve it?

It's already been 7 months since your reply to dhanushmuniswamy, and my Lenovo G510 (Core-i5 4200U, 12 GB RAM)  is still getting this message.

To my understanding, microsoft will cease to support the 19/09 version (build 18363) within 4 months.

Will I ever get the 20/04 update?

The 20/09 update beta has already been released.

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I want to apologize if you encountered this issue. I understand you have a problem with Windows 2004 update not yet available on your device.

Windows 10 Feature update 2004 won't immediately available for everyone because Microsoft is taking its usual gradual process to rolling out the upgrade, offering the upgrade in stages beginning with those whose devices Microsoft believes are the most likely to successfully install the update. If you don't receive the update yet, Microsoft possibly detect compatibility issues on your device, These holds are due to conflicts that could cause applications not to run correctly. In the past few days/weeks, Users still experiencing problems after upgrading to version 2004. Give the update a month or two to mature. This will let the Feature update fix it's own problems through patches along the way and be more stable. I would not recommend you to upgrade manually because of this ongoing issues.
