The update is telling me that it is ready to be downloaded and installed into your device, and when I download the update, the download fails. I tried with different networks, and yet to no avail. I am pretty sure, because i even went to HP's website and they had listed my notebook as eligible for update and that the update should be ready for me. still, it is failing, and I have decided to just stop checking for updates and wait until all these problems have washed over.
If the update keeps failing it means you're not meant to have it yet. Don't give the install yet because it may play havoc with your apps or something else on your device. Let Microsoft tell you when they're ready.
Seems pretty shaky and odd to me. 2004 update? That's 16 yrs. ago. Windows 10 didn't exist then. To non techies like myself, that's a sham update and I'm quite leary.
Really?:) According to the version history Windows 10 even started in 1507.
2004 indicates that the update was planned for the year 2020 (20) in the month of April (04)
