why my windows is not ready for update

The Windows 10 May 2020 Update is on its way. Once it’s ready for your device, you’ll see the update available on this page. 

This is the message shown by the system.

I have "HP OMEN 15 Series" laptop. I keep my drivers Up to date but why I am not reciving this update.

    Hi Beth FF

    I was often told as a child that "Patience is a virtue" !

    Well yesterday my patience was rewarded when my Lenovo G570 was ready for the update.

    Patience again was required as it took over four hours to complete the procedure.

    Now I am a happy bunny and I hope all those who are also waiting that it was worth the while.

    I'm also in the same situation.  Although I no longer even get the notice about 1909 end of life and my Windows Update page in Settings alternately displays a green check mark and a yellow exclamation point.  I have an HP Envy, which appears to be one of the ones that has been tested as far as I can tell.  I refuse to force an update, which I have no doubt would bring its own nightmare.  I'm finding some comfort knowing this is happening to others.  I'm going to keep waiting...

    Thanks for the advice. As my Lenovo is otherwise working ok I guess I will just have to be patient.
