why my windows is not ready for update

It is getting close to a year since this saga began, and still nothing (apart from some generic mumbo-jumbo) from Microsoft. I paid good money for Windows on the understanding that I would get periodic updates and new features. I have been sadly disappointed. So I have now taken the plunge and switched to a MacBook, and am very pleased with it.

The Windows 10 May 2020 Update is on its way. Once it’s ready for your device, you’ll see the update available on this page. 

This is the message shown by the system.

I have "HP OMEN 15 Series" laptop. I keep my drivers Up to date but why I am not reciving this update.

Its 9th March 2021...Same message displayed. I wonder if microsoft is actually working on it now.

Now the microsoft developers do not even read or respond to this page.

I connected with microsoft support and the first thing they did was to send a link for manual update for 20H2. When I highlighted them the issue listed on microsoft pages itself they said don't update and wait

That's great John but now it's been over 5 months. Any reason why we can't update still?

Did  you try check windows updates then additional updates then below that there is download and install now  like I found --> example: Feature update to Windows 10, version 20H2

I was also having the same message shown on my screen. I have HP All in one PC.But yesterday i installed the windows 10 Update assistant which detected the 20H2 Update and downloaded it but upon detection by the assistant also the Windows Update page showed the same message of non availability of update. So i think you can once try through update assistant.

Windows 10 Feature update 2004 won't immediately available for everyone because Microsoft is taking its usual gradual process to rolling out the upgrade, offering the upgrade in stages beginning with those whose devices Microsoft believes are the most likely to successfully install the update. If you don't receive the update yet, Microsoft possibly detect compatibility issues on your device, These holds are due to conflicts that could cause applications not to run correctly. In the past few days/weeks, Users still experiencing problems after upgrading to version 2004. Give the update a month or two to mature. This will let the Feature update fix it's own problems through patches along the way and be more stable. I would not recommend you to upgrade manually because of this ongoing issues.

Well I have a dual boot computer except I unplug all my drives except for my game drive (that drive is all by itself) when I use my other drive that I use for email so my email drive (no longer accepts live mail 2012 (I know it's out of date) )  Now I got the download for May 2020 update on that drive but not this drive (Game drive) why is that? same computer same everything except for the drive all ram, cpu, video card only difference is the drive so why couldn't I get it  I don't have any of those for mentioned things on the website that talks about the problems it has. No biggie I guess I can wait.
