why my windows is not ready for update

I'm John an Independent Advisor and a Microsoft user like you. I want to apologize if you encountered this issue. I understand you have a problem with Windows 2004 update not yet available on your device.

Windows 10 Feature update 2004 won't immediately available for everyone because Microsoft is taking its usual gradual process to rolling out the upgrade, offering the upgrade in stages beginning with those whose devices Microsoft believes are the most likely to successfully install the update. If you don't receive the update yet, Microsoft possibly detect compatibility issues on your device, These holds are due to conflicts that could cause applications not to run correctly. In the past few days/weeks, Users still experiencing problems after upgrading to version 2004. Give the update a month or two to mature. This will let the Feature update fix it's own problems through patches along the way and be more stable. I would not recommend you to upgrade manually because of this ongoing issues.

Well, it's March 7th, 2021 and I've seen this message telling me "the May 2020 update is coming soon, keep looking for it here" in my Windows Update. Just out of curiosity, what it Microsoft's idea of "soon"? It's been almost a year and a new update was apparently released in November. I don't see an option to make it install now. Any tips?

According to Wikipedia, MS will terminate support for the latest 2019 build on May 2021.

I have the same issue. When I got my hands on my new HP laptop for the first time I was given the chance to update it to 2004. I downloaded it, but it failed because of error code 0x8007000d. And after the first restart, it has stopped giving me the choice of downloading the latest update, and now displays the message, "The Windows 10 May 2020 Update is on its way. Once it's ready for your device, you'll see the update available on this page". The thing is, why did it suddenly become "incompatible" when my laptop was already ready and eligible for the latest one? Is it because of the error code? I haven't even installed it because, as I said, it failed downloading. I already tried clearing my SoftwareDistribution folder, and made sure that there are no more updates left for me to download and install. All things are updated except my OS. My Windows version is still currently 1909. I have decent specs for a laptop. To be exact, my specifications include 120gb of SSD, 1tb of HDD, 4 GB RAM, an i5-10210u processor, and a 2gb gddr5 radeon 530 graphics card. I still have a lot of space left for my SSD. Can anyone help me or give me the reasons why? Thank you.

Me and my Lenovo still waiting patiently. Other PC and laptop updated without any problem. The Lenovo otherwise works fine and accepts other updates fine. But for how long?
