Hello there .

Thank you for new update , My Windows is 10 pro N version 2004 - 6/11/2020 and OS build 19041.329 ,  also Windows system about show it as Experience pack  120,2202.1300 .

My Media player needs a new installation so I refer to Address as :  https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/mediafeaturepack but there is no any suitable and related Media Feature Pack (  For example : Media Feature Pack - version ( June 2020 ) on .

I need installing it again , I am sure you know some of software works on base of Media player so if having no it users can't work with some of other softwares  .

Please Check it and let User having any I requested for .

    Hey There,

    This helped.

    The Media Feature Pack for N versions of Windows 10 is available for download as an Optional Feature. To install the Media Feature Pack, navigate to Settings > Apps > Apps and Features > Optional Features > Add a Feature and find the Media Feature Pack in the list of available Optional Features. Note, you will not be prompted to restart your computer, but you must restart in order to successfully complete installation of the Media Feature Pack.

    I am having the same issue since allowing my new laptop (which I literally booted up for the first time on Sunday) to update today. In the Optional Features list (capture below) there is no MS Media Pack available to install - I checked using an elevated PowerShell and there's nothing there for it either. I've got Windows Media Player (it's right there in my Installed Optional Features) and I went and downloaded and installed a punch of extras from the MS store, too, like HEIF Media Extensions and VP9 Video Extensions, just to see if any of that would do something. Nope.

    So then I tried rolling back the updates from this morning, and got error messages refusing to uninstall two of them. Then I tried installing the most recent Media pack that is available for download (1903) and it told me that it wasn't compatible for my system.

    Now I'm stuck.

    This is infuriating because I cannot play Netflix, am tormented by blinking gifs that start to load and then freeze, then disappear, then repeat, all over social media, and have an extremely annoying error message bar that tells me I need to install the media pack jumping up under my toolbar on my browser constantly *just to remind me* that I don't have access to this damn thing.

    Is there any chance at all MS will just give us a link for this? It's an easy fix, for heaven's sake!

    Hi, 

    My problem connects to this change and might show up for some people.

    I can go to optional features and attempt to install the media pack to turn Education N to Education. Unfortunately, it fails and says I need to contact my administrator.

    I am the administrator.  

    It's not something in Active Directory, because the problem persists if I take it off the domain.

    Your screenshot is from installed optional features, you have to click "Add a feature" button on top of that features page.
