I am getting these errors with "Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModelRuntime status for package Windows."  Anyone know what's causing this?  Computer is up to date with windows updates...

    After searching for a few days, I finally stumbled across this MEGA-LONG thread of people with this same issue. Considering I have the same problems as many others in this thread, I am assuming there is no solution yet? I don't want to read through 105 replies. 

    This error is rather annoying, I think its the source of PC crashing when running various application. I can't model something without the PC stuttering a few times throughout my work session.

    I updated to 2004, I used my laptop for gaming, photo and video editing. So far i have not experienced any issue yet. But since I just updated, I tried to check my Event Viewer and viola, consecutives Error message with the same codes. - "Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModelRuntime status for package Windows."

    Then upon reading from this long thread, the "turning off - When I'm using an app in full screen mode" focus assist features did the trick so far for me.

    I can confirm that the error will trigger when doing some tinkering with the Nvidia Experience settings

    I've read through this mega long thread, tested all possibilitys, including turning off the focus assist as stated by Orpicpixel as an answer to your request to summarize.

    You should not forget to also turn off the automatic rules that apparantly are not disabled if you put focus assist to OFF

    This works for people who have error 65 when switching to full screen video or games, but other instances of error 65 will still be visible.

    since microsoft has no answer other than hiding the messages from your view, you are basically forced to accept this unstable system, until somebody at microsoft finds out what faulty interaction was created by the latest incarnations of windows 10....

    I'm getting this error as well....

    "Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModel Runtime status for package Windows."

    I've been getting this error since 2nd January 2021. First BSOD today on the 8th January 2021. Only change I've made recently to my PC is upgrading to 460.89 GPU driver but this was made on the 27th December. Errors didn't appear until 2nd.
