You know what else can fix this other than a fresh install of Windows? A fresh install of Linux.
Snarky comment aside, I'm running 2004, latest patches on everything, and am also getting this problem, the event log 56, and physically my PC seems to reboot suddenly at random times, about once a week. It's a problem because I'm not gaming on this. This is my workstation running Pro and used on 3D like Maya. I'm trying to find a pattern as to what exactly brings about the circumstances for this, and my guess so far is when Maya is running.
Tired of Microsoft's system update model that forces you into poorly tested software. My problems began when 2004 was installed as well. I can't "simply" do a fresh install of 1909 to address this. UNACCEPTABLE.
- The Windows install is the easy part. With the quantity of apps I use for production, it takes me 2 days to install and configure everything I need. Reinstalling from scratch isn't a "solution" for me at all...
- Eventually, Microsoft's aggressive software update will force me back to install 2004, although MAYBE, in months, MS will have patched this problem that seems to plague a wide array of users.
I swear, the day Adobe publishes linux native software, I'm ending this dysfunctional relationship with Microsoft.
