Yeah, I think it would resolve your issues as well and would recommend it. I regret stubbornly putting up with v2004 for so long now.

Gidday all, I've been running into a issue with my GPU crashing and I have nailed it down to the error in event viewer " Failed with 0x57 retrieving AppModel Runtime status for package Windows. "
I have changed gpu drivers, completely uninstalled drivers, wiped my m.2 and reinstalled windows and nothing worked. Any ideas? Thank you

sadly that did not fix my issue.
I attempted 451.48, 451.67 and 451.85
I've since reinstalled Windows 10 v1909 and havent crashed in over 24 hours. Previously I would crash every few hours.

I’m downloading 451.48 now after my PC becoming basically unusable after Skyrim SE crashed Sunday (July 26th) night. Since the crash my PC gets stuck on the “Restarting” screen for 20+ mins. then gives me a BSOD with a “driver_power_state_failure”. Event Viewer has a list of errors for event 2.
I’ve also run SFC/SCANNOW and DISM.EXE /EVERYCHECKPOSSIBLE all with no results or issues found and the problem even persisted after a restore from a couple weeks ago.
I’ll update if the Nvidia driver rollback helps.
Update:
No luck with the older nvidia driver but while installing it I noticed the Intel video on my MB had somehow gotten enabled so things got a little better when I disabled it again.
Someoene recommended using Driver Booster for fixing possible driver conflicts. I checked everything in Device Manager beforehand and only found one driver that wasn’t “the most recent version”. Driver Booster found 17.
Anyway, nothing has quite solved the issue. I’m still seeing a lot of lag (1+ mins) especially with file explorer, task manager, or other windows UI elements. Now I’m trying to rollback my windows installand it’s been stuck at 58% for aboutan hour.

2020-07-31T22:58:55+00:00 I totally agree with you. I just built my PC and I'm getting game crashes, blue screens, and Kernel issues. Nvidia and WIndows 10 v2004 drivers are making my rig really unstable using 3D applications.
