Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004 causing issues with credentials

Hello, I had a problem after installing the Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004 causing issues with credentials. Specifically my problem related to email accounts in Outlook not remembering the account password and a similar problem with Adobe Creative Cloud. No matter how many times I would enter the password, it would always ask again for the password when restarting Outlook and similar problem with Adobe Creative Cloud it would always ask me to sign in again after rebooting my computer (which loads it automatically). I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and did you find a solution?

I was not able to find a solution to this problem that worked even after manually removing credentials from the Credential Manager and adding them again in the respective applications, so I uninstalled the feature update and reverted back to the previous version of Windows. In case someone else needs to revert back and uninstall Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004, I found a good article with instructions here: https://pureinfotech.com/uninstall-windows-10-2004-2020-update/. The caveat is that you must do this within 10 days of the install as the old version of Windows is automatically deleted after that time.

    . Removed 'SSO_POP_Device' from Credentials Manager

    . Reset password set on PST file

    . 'SSO_POP_Device' was automatically created again in Credentials Manager but has since automatically disappeared

    . Not prompted for password yet after a couple of reboots and waking from sleep

    Just prompted again after using Edge for a while and 'SSO_POP_Device' has been automatically created in Credentials Manager.

    KB4571744 / Preview Build 19041.488 seems to have done the trick thanks (I can't quite get my head around how many fixes are listed in this update - Microsoft quality control seems to be lacking!).

    Cross your fingers.  Just put on the latest (preview) fix for Windows 10 version 2004 today.  Doesn't explicitly list a fix, but my machine has survived a couple of restarts without prompting for a password. Since others though they had fixes that eventually turned out not to work, I'll update in few days on whether it is still working or not.

    If you feel like trying it, do settings, Windows updates, Optional fixes.   Normally I would not recommend applying these optional fixes as sometimes the are bad or even old and superseded.  So Only apply for now if you really are willing to put up with possible new problems.

    Updating 9/5/2020 to say that although the fix seems to increased the time between getting prompted, (managed 24 hours) it still hasn't completely fixed the problem.

    Same issue here whereby both PST file and Mail profile are both randomly prompting for password when I open Outlook 2013 following Windows 10 Pro 2004 feature update.

    Sometimes following a reboot and sometimes when I close and then open Outlook again.

    Removed 'SSO_POP_Device' from Credentials Manager (this shows as Persistence Log-on session) and that seems to sort the issue for a while but the entry is automatically recreated in CM, even if I disable the service.

    I am also using a local account...
