Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004 causing issues with credentials

Hello, I had a problem after installing the Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004 causing issues with credentials. Specifically my problem related to email accounts in Outlook not remembering the account password and a similar problem with Adobe Creative Cloud. No matter how many times I would enter the password, it would always ask again for the password when restarting Outlook and similar problem with Adobe Creative Cloud it would always ask me to sign in again after rebooting my computer (which loads it automatically). I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and did you find a solution?

I was not able to find a solution to this problem that worked even after manually removing credentials from the Credential Manager and adding them again in the respective applications, so I uninstalled the feature update and reverted back to the previous version of Windows. In case someone else needs to revert back and uninstall Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004, I found a good article with instructions here: https://pureinfotech.com/uninstall-windows-10-2004-2020-update/. The caveat is that you must do this within 10 days of the install as the old version of Windows is automatically deleted after that time.

    I may have found a work-around that seems to have stopped the post-2004 update-induced Outlook forgotten passwords as well as the OneDrive not signing on when a user logs on.   Don't know if it really is "fixed", but neither condition has occurred for the past three days.  What I did:

      1.  Ran the "services" app and for "Credential Manager" changed the Startup Type from "manual" to "automatic".   This did not completely correct the forgotten password problems, but did make them occur less frequently.

      2. Next day, created this .cmd file and defined a Task Scheduler task to run it every hour.:

    rem Stop and Start Credential Manager

    rem This is an attempt to work around an error introduced in

    rem   Windows 10 update 2004 wherein passwords for

    rem   OneDrive and Outlook Email accounts were frequently forgotten

    NET STOP "Credential Manager"

    timeout 10

    NET START "Credential Manager"

    timeout 3

    If you try this:

    1. Make sure to check "Run with highest privileges" in the General section since these NET commands require administrative privileges
    2. For the initial execution, under "Triggers" set the start time 3 or 4 minutes later than the current time.  I did not do this at first, and when I checked to see if the file had run, it had not.

    Just got prompted again for passwords, so although it seems to have extended the time between getting prompted, it is still not a permanent fix.

    Hoping that does it for you.  Would really be nice to be able to recommend the cumulative fix for everyone.  I have now installed on my laptop as well as my desktop.  Don't use Outlook there (only have OFFICE home and student licensed for it), but some other things that were not remembering password seem to be working.

    Note that not sure what is fixed, but not everything seems to showing up in credential manager, but is now working correctly.  Including network drive sharing, outlook (on desktop), Adobe CC (which definitely creates credentials.)  and some websites.

    Note I am using office 2019 (upgraded last year from office 2007).

    Note it is still working so far for me, but who knows if it still will by Tomorrow.   I originally installed the optional fix because it included something else that was broken and included in this Cumulative build.

    Note that I was prompted one time for each of the apps (Outlook wasn't the only one I had password not remembered for) and so far haven't been asked again.
