Unable to print after installing update KB4560960 and/or KB4561608. Uninstalling updates fixes problem. Reporting bug.

Removing the updates works ,,,,but every other day the updates go back on....so when do we expect the new patch to fix the problem?

You can pause updates until late July in Windows Updates.

This is insane that Microsoft can get away with breaking peoples' printers.  Absolutely ridiculous.  And then instead of just fixing it the same way they broke it - with an automatic update - they put it on us to go fix it ourselves.  And THEN, to top it off, they make the process way more complicated than most people are comfortable with.

Long story short, to fix your printing woes - I've just done this for 4 people today, it works - you have to download and install an "out of band" update from the Microsoft Windows Update Catalog.

Microsoft has made a nice, simple URL for the fix too!

Next, these geniuses have made is to you need to know which version of Windows 10 you're running... because, you know, most people know how to do that.

The easiest way:  Windows Key + R for the Run dialog box.  Then type "winver" minus the quotes and hit the OK button or press enter.  This will pop up a handy little window to tell you exactly which version of Windows 10 you're computer is currently running.

With that information in hand you can follow that link above and download the update.  It's a little large (almost 400MB in most cases) and then it takes a good little while to install.  BUT, once it's all said and done, you'll be able to print again.  Until they decide to break it again and we all come running back here.

Oh man, I'm sarcastic, I know.  But this stuff is just schtoopid!  Cheers ya'll!

My version is the   "Windows 10, version 1909 (KB4567512)" so clicked on that, then couldn't find any link, so scrolled down to "How to get this update" and that recommends you get a "Service Stack Update"

(At this stage I just want throw the thing out of the window!)

Read all the info, then searched for the Sevicing stack update for Windows 10. 1909

That took me to a download option of the same KB4560959 update which caused the problem in the first place!

Perhaps if Microsoft had less build options they would be able to sort problems much quicker!

Shoot you're right I posted the wrong link!  This link will take you to the Microsoft Update Catalog where you can choose the correct download for your version of Windows 10.  Most folks out there are running 1903 or 1909 and that's the same file for those two versions even though they list it separately
