Unable to print after installing update KB4560960 and/or KB4561608. Uninstalling updates fixes problem. Reporting bug. This is happening to every Windows 10 computer in our organization as updates install.

    Any news about fix update for 2004? I can't find anything.

    I have been browsing in the community and found this which may help:-

    OK, so I just did a full and complete reinstall of Windows 10 2004.

    All partitions were deleted and then the installer recreated the partitions and installed Windows.

    After the install, the base motherboard and graphics drivers were installed, some minor setup and installing the full drivers and software for the printer, I was able to print using my Brother DCP-J315W printer without issue.

    After some further configuration, I hit Windows Update and allowed KB4561600 & KB4557957, along with the Microsoft supplied AMD drivers to install.

    After rebooting, printing to my Brother DCP-J

    315W once again failed with the same error messages in Event Viewer.

    I then uninstalled KB4557957 and after rebooting, I was able to print again, yay!

    So for me at least, KB4557957 is the culprit!

    May be worth a try and then pausing auto windows update.

    To do what you proposed, they need to have really genius programmers, and this is obvious that they don't!!!!

    Awesome!! Microsoft gave a fixing update for other versions, but not for Windows 10 version 2004. Twelve days without an ability to print. This is not the first time I face major problems because of windows updates. I have regretted my choice to join the windows system!!  But it's never too late ....  Thousands of users think the same.

    Hi, a bit of  silly question, but if we uninstall the affected updates & turn off automatic w10 updates, then how will a repair patch come thru to fix the printer issue? Is there a date in July we should switch the auto updates back on? Will the patch be an auto update or something we need to download specifically? Thanks ☺️
