* Mod note on 16 October 2021.

A third-party tool to block all updates to Windows 10 is mentioned several times in this thread. Links to this tool have been removed because Microsoft policy is that one cannot post here any method of permanently stopping/blocking updates to Windows.

Everytime i enter windows update i cant see nothing in Windows Update tab, only "Something went wrong. Try to reopen settings later" .

3 days have went by of me trying to fix this, but nothing is working...

The troubleshoot shows nothing wrong...

Tried to reset the pc but i got an error (something went wrong)...

When i try to scan the disk it always gives me an error

Did sfc /scandisk in safe mode there was no problem

    I got this problem too. I tried the stop10 tool, but it already said my updates are not blocked. I blocked them, and then unblocked them, no change.

    When I select Updated & Security, I see some little dots scrolling left to right at the top of the window. But while I had updates blocked, I never saw those dots and went directly to the error message.

    I had v2004, so I did an inplace upgrade with my 20H2 USB. It took 30 minutes to upgrade my OS, but that didn't work either!!

    I tried the Windows Update troubleshooter, but it said it couldn't find any problems. Are you kidding me!?
