System Repair Disc Not Bootable in Win10

I am running Win 10 Pro 64bit version 1909. I used Control Panel, System and Security, Backup and Restore (Windows 7) to create a system repair disc. That worked fine, no error messages, until I went to use it. I tried to boot my pc from the CD drive where the repair disc was inserted but got an error message, non system disc or words to that effect. I had done this previously with Win7 without any problem. Any thoughts as to why the same process is not working in Win10?

    Your point is well taken but I'm not using a USB drive. I'm using a system repair disc in my CD drive. It worked in Win7 but will not work in Win10.

    The only way I found is with 3rd party programs, the Microsoft 10 recovery drive is only possible by USB, here is a link:

    Do you have any experience with this 3rd party product? Is it an approved product by Microsoft? If a system repair disc, which worked perfectly well in Win7, does not work in Win10, what is the point for having the create system repair disc functionality in Win10?

    Hello William

    Windows 10 as a Recovery Partition in case your computer stops working it will start into this partition to be able to get Windows 10 working again.

    In some bad cases the Recovery Partition stops working, it's rare but i have seen it happen.

    For this reason, and honestly not many people think about this, it is good to have a Recovery Drive.

    I highly recommend for you to buy a cheap 8GB USB drive and make a Recovery Drive with it, CD's and DVD's are becoming obsolete, I havent's used one in years.
