I am running Win 10 Pro 64bit version 1909. I used Control Panel, System and Security, Backup and Restore (Windows 7) to create a system repair disc. That worked fine, no error messages, until I went to use it. I tried to boot my pc from the CD drive where the repair disc was inserted but got an error message, non system disc or words to that effect. I had done this previously with Win7 without any problem. Any thoughts as to why the same process is not working in Win10?

There is always the possibility that something could happen and you would not be able to get into Windows or the Macrium Boot Option..
Believe me... I have found this out the hard way multiple times... I finally learned my lesson..
At your urging, I created a bootable rescue CD/DVD in Macrium Reflect as additional recovery insurance. I tested it out by restoring an image file of my hard drive and it worked ok.

I was able to duplicate what you describe.. I learned something today.. I don't know if this is a new feature, or if I had not noticed the option before.. I did notice that some of the other options were a bit different with this version of Macrium that the one I had been using..
What happened when trying to restore my image is that I got the screen you describe... The first of the two I posted.. In my case, Macrium downloaded a 975mb WinPE file and incorporated it into Macrium and the Boot Menu.. It then did a restart and loaded the image..
I also ended up with an addition to my Windows boot... An option for Windows 10, or Macrium, with a 10 second delay to make a selection before the machine defaults to Windows 10..
You can also download and save this file from Macrium (pe10_1709x64.zip), and install it manually..
This is the exact same file needed to create a bootable Flash Drive.. Just browse to the zip file when creating the media..
One thing to remember though.. This will only work if your machine can boot to the Boot menu or Windows 10... If your hard drive fails, you will need the Flash Drive with Macrium to recover it, or to load your saved image to a new HDD\SSD..
To answer your question in 1 word, yes. Here's what happened. I did a full backup to an external disk drive using Macrium Reflect. It went okay. I then invoked Macrium Backup to do a restore of the backup image on the external disk drive to the hard drive on my computer. When the restore process started, I got a message which goes something like this, automatic boot into Windows PE. I clicked to continue. I then got another message immediately afterward to restart so I let the system restart on its own. The restore process trudged along until the end when I got another restart message. Again, I let the system do its thing. I'm not technically proficient enough to understand what all that means. What I do know is that it works.
