My elderly DCP195C has been working fine with my Windows 10S until today, Thu 11 June 2020. Windows did a large update yesterday or day before. Now the printer will not work }:-( Tried looking at settings but nothing seems to solve the problem. Anyone any suggestions please?

Yeah, a truly disappointing experience. Like you, my Brother MFC790CW will scan from either the flat bed glass or thru the automatic document feeder. It will also PRINT - as a copier - in either black & white or color. So I know the mechanical functions of the machine are OK, just that Microsoft screwed up the drivers somehow.
Sorry, Raine. Had to unmark as answer as there has been another Micosoft update and it won't print again!!!! }:-(
Had an answer from Brother Support UK 13 June:
This issue is due to the windows update that occurred recently.
You can consider uninstalling the update that has occurred in order to restore the printer. You are NOT obligated to do so however this is the only solution we have at this the moment in time.
Back to square 1 and uninstall the latest update
Any advice from anyone who cannot even uninstall the updates as it throws up an erropr - this is on a clean install of windows with no other issues?
In a ‘normal world’we call this ping-pong, in windows OS suport it’s get away with hiding under QA wothout the “Q”
