My elderly DCP195C has been working fine with my Windows 10S until today, Thu 11 June 2020.  Windows did a large update yesterday or day before.  Now the printer will not work  }:-(   Tried looking at settings but nothing seems to solve the problem.  Anyone any suggestions please?

    Same here

Brother DCP195c was working fine in windows 10 and showing in the installed printers list

I have made no changes except any microsoft updates that have been done last few days

The printer is now showing up in other devices as a DCP195c, I can read the ink levels etc..

But it will not accept print jobs

This is clearly a Windows 10 update issue. Similar to the issue where external storage drives

failed to be recognised when Microsoft turned of SMB1 services

Please look into this asap Microsoft, and dont just fob us off with user error or driver troubleshooting

because i have tried them all.

The DCP195c is not faulty as its work fine on my Windows 7 machine.

    Thanks

Having the same issue here, when you are working from home and POOF! cant print diddly squat.  I know cables are ok as I can scan documents into PC.   The print jobs show in the printer menu then just disappear, no data received to the printer, and therefore no printing.

My printer was working FAB! and I thought it was the printer until I searched.  Could of saved me the day yesterday searching for new cable and possible replacements (which in the UK Brother printers of similar use, size and price are OUT OF STOCK!)

Let me know if you get yours working Because I need mine to too

I've spent several hours yesterday evening.  When going to Settings > Devices > Printers DPC-195C is not listed.  So how can you uninstall it?

I discovered the same as Peter Weir and RJBrown.

When I ran the printer troubleshooter it told me there were no faults with DPC-195C !!!

I also can scan an image and save it.  When I go to print the icon appears in the right hand side of the bottom taskbar saying "1 document(s) pending for Christopher".  Then it suddenly changes to "0 document(s) ..." !  When you right click on the icon and  'Open Devices and Printers' the DPC-195C picture appears in 'Unspecified'.  You cannot move it into Printers only remove it.

    What has Microso$t done??

    Hi!

I also have this problem with my DCP 195C on Windows 10 Home. I tried to reinstall drivers and change USB port but this changes nothing. It seems the printer is recognized correctly by programs and as a printer because You can access printer settings (and Brother dedicated printer settings) only Windows don't recognize printer by it's drivers and don't list it in printers list in settings - it is listed under "Unspecified" section. In result printing don't work at all. I am almost sure it is the fault of last update.

    best regards
