If you have an iphone [and maybe android has a similar app] you can download the "Brother Print and Scan" app, email any doc to yourself, pick it up on your phone and print it using the Brother app.

You can try uninstalling the KB Update KB:4560960 and KB:4561608 as a workaround.

To uninstall the update using command prompt follow the steps below.

1. Press the Windows key
2. Type cmd in the search box
3. Right click on it and run the application using administrator.
4. A box will open.
5. Type the following command after replacing the KB ID with the one that you wish to uninstall: wusa /uninstall /kb:[id]
6. Example: wusa /uninstall /KB:4023057
7. Once done typing hit enter.

Once done uninstalling the both KB update restart your pc and try to check if issue persist.

Fantastic. I have spent (wasted) hours uninstalling/reinstalling/testing a Brother DCP-197C that suddenly stopped printing, even though I could see documents going through the USB001 print spooler; the documents and any test pages were going through the spooler OK then just disappearing into the ether. Having read this post from Rhaine and the responses, I had a look in my list of Windows 10 Updates and KB:4560960 was in the list, so I uninstalled KB:4560960 using the instructions from Rhaine and my perfectly OK printer is now printing again. POSTSCRIPT:

Further to the above, everything was working OK last night and I printed an important document OK; this morning I needed to print another important document and my Brother DCP-197C would not print (even though I could see the document going through the print spooler window); I checked Windows 10 Settings/Update History and there had been an overnight update. Guess what? KB:4560960 had been reinstalled by Windows 10 overnight and stopped my perfectly OK printer from printing. So I uninstalled KB:4560960 (again) using the instructions from Rhaine and everything prints OK again. [I have blocked any further Windows Updates for the maximum 35 days allowed on my computer. Hopefully, Microsoft can sort out this huge problem by then....]
