Windows 10S Brother printer DCP-195C will not work

My elderly DCP195C has been working fine with my Windows 10S until today, Thu 11 June 2020.  Windows did a large update yesterday or day before.  Now the printer will not work  }:-(   Tried looking at settings but nothing seems to solve the problem.  Anyone any suggestions please?

    Unfortunately, my printer is wifi only.

    Jack,

    If you haven't tried it already, why not switch off the computer and then power up the printer with its wi-fi live (however that works!) then switch the computer on?

    The WiFi printer is always “live” anytime it is powered on, which is constantly. 

    throughout these processes, i have powered off amd restarted the computer many time with the printer “live”.

    Wel,, MS did it again, all updates were off but ... this morning it updated anyway and ... printing stopped

    I uninstalled KB4557957 again and it's back to normal (for as long as it lasts) and I now really turned off all updates

    Current OS status

    Windows 10 Pro

    Version 2004

    Installed on 11/06/2020

    OS build 19041.1

    And it prints again, still no sound but that's the lessr of my worries

    I've been looking at a friends PC for over 2 hours and initially came to the conclusion that the printer communication had died but the printer would work from the printer menu..! He dug out an old laptop he had with the brother software on, plugged the printer in and hey presto the printer worked. tried my own laptop and that didn't work either! Came to the conclusion it was the windows update which as been confirmed by finding this thread just now...! I'll try to remote in when I can get in touch with him and remove the kb... updates mentioned!

    Same issue here with Brother DCP-195C, was working perfect both at home and at work i.e. 2 No. printers.

    Have unistalled then new install but no printing. Sometimes when I tried to print a test page, it would be in the queue for a couple of seconds then remove itself.

    What can I do to sort out my printing issues.

    Follow the instructions in previous answers, Uninstall the Windows Updates.
