My elderly DCP195C has been working fine with my Windows 10S until today, Thu 11 June 2020.  Windows did a large update yesterday or day before.  Now the printer will not work  }:-(   Tried looking at settings but nothing seems to solve the problem.  Anyone any suggestions please?

    Well Rhaine,

I like you optimism, but that did not solve my issue.

I have a Brother DCP-395CN, reinstalled the whole package (for the printer) that all works well, the printer is connected and configured but the Issue remains.

After the latest Windows 20 update 2004 I can no longer print.

The Printer display lights up as if something's being set to it but the print queue remains empty.

I have tried all the suggestions but to no avail.

Previous issue with an earlier update was that my on board soundcard no longer produces sound, you see the volume slider moving with the beat but no sound.

It's getting worse with every Window update, Microsoft should start to really become ashamed for what's it's delivering

I'm a very sad and disappointed person.

    Regards,

    Hans Hallebeek

You can try uninstalling the KB Update KB:4560960 and KB:4561608 as a workaround.

To uninstall the update using command prompt follow the steps below.

    1. Press the Windows key
    2. Type cmd in the search box
    3. Right click on it and run the application using administrator.
    4. A box will open.
    5. Type the following command after replacing the KB ID with the one that you wish to uninstall: wusa /uninstall /kb:[id]
    6. Example: wusa /uninstall /KB:4023057
    7. Once done typing hit enter.

Once done uninstalling the both KB update restart your pc and try to check if issue persist.

I hope the steps above helps. Please let me know how it goes.Have a nice day ahead and be safe.

    Raine, you're brilliant - 1000's thanks !

    I first went to Settings>Update & Security (never been there before!)>Windows Update>View update history> found 2 updates. One was: June 9, 2020—KB4561608

Went through you're good, concise and clear instructions and uninstalled - it took ages!  Then restart and PRINTER HAS PRINTED !!!!

Before seeing your post I'd posted to both Microsoft Feedback and Brother's webpage. But as yet no news from either. I'll post any responses.
