My elderly DCP195C has been working fine with my Windows 10S until today, Thu 11 June 2020.  Windows did a large update yesterday or day before.  Now the printer will not work  }:-(   Tried looking at settings but nothing seems to solve the problem.  Anyone any suggestions please?

I just deleted the update from UPDATE HISTORY (the one close to the 6th of June) and it worked afterwards

Take care Ian the update will reinstall, Microsoft, at the first opportunity will reinstall the offending update unless you disable all updates for as long as your system will allow.  Hopefully Microsoft will, by then have come up with a fix for their repeatedly defective updates issued since the start of June.

My printer has also stopped printing.

I followed the steps to uninstall the updates, and an error box popped up saying it wasn't installed. This happened for both updates.

I then went through the steps suggested on the brother website. I went to the microsoft site and downloaded the update. Then went to install it and it said it wouldnt work on my machine (windows 10). I tried the other 2 files just incase and had the same error.

I've emailed brother to see if they can help.

Also hoping that someone may have a suggestion for me on here? thanks in advance

    Al

I have 2 computers and two Brother DPC-195C printers and both stopped printing recently.

On the computer with Windows 10 ver1909, I uninstalled KB4560960 and the printer now works again.

On the computer with Windows 10 ver 2004, I uninstalled KB4557957 and the printer now works again.

As a precaution, I’ve also turned off the Windows updates until the end of July in the hope that Microsoft will sort out these issues by then.

I hope that is of help to others with this problem.

Thanks & noted.  I'll work through the steps. But probably later today. I'll post how I get on.

    Hi ChristopherWhitmey,

Thank you for updating me about this issue.

Its ok, we can still use the troubleshooting steps provided there, these steps should be applicable to Windows 10 s mode also because this steps doesn't involve downloading application from third party provider.

Don't worry I will do my best to help if ever we encounter concerns in doing the troubleshooting steps by Microsoft.

    Sincerely,
