Windows 10S Brother printer DCP-195C will not work

I am also Windows user. Let us work together to sort this out.

You can try uninstalling the KB Update KB:4560960 and KB:4561608 as a workaround.

To uninstall the update using command prompt follow the steps below.

1. Press the Windows key
2. Type cmd in the search box
3. Right click on it and run the application using administrator.
4. A box will open.
5. Type the following command after replacing the KB ID with the one that you wish to uninstall: wusa /uninstall /kb:[id]
6. Example: wusa /uninstall /KB:4023057
7. Once done typing hit enter.

Once done uninstalling the both KB update restart your pc and try to check if issue persist.

I first went to Settings>Update & Security (never been there before!)>Windows Update>View update history> found 2 updates. One was: June 9, 2020—KB4561608

Went through you're good, concise and clear instructions and uninstalled - it took ages!  Then restart and PRINTER HAS PRINTED !!!!

Before seeing your post I'd posted to both Microsoft Feedback and Brother's webpage. But as yet no news from either. I'll post any responses.

I have Brother DCP195C and with this I have managed to solve it. I hope it works for you.

My last update was KB4561608 14.06.2020.  I've uninstalled it and the printer now works again !

I've been on https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4561608/windows-10-update-kb4561608

and found:

After installing this update, certain printers might fail to print. The print spooler might throw an error or close unexpectedly when attempting to print, and no output will come from the affected printer.

You might also encounter issues with the apps you are attempting to print from. You might receive an error from the app or the app might close unexpectedly.

Note This issue might also affect software-based printers, for example printing to PDF.

Microsoft is working on a resolution and will provide an update when more information is available.

I'm not holding my breath!!!

Managed to get X2 printers back working this morning by uninstalling the KB Update KB:4560960
