Win10 20H2 fixes the issue.

Previously when 2004 broke smb1, I rolled back.

There was no registry change or any other modification made to the system.  After Win10 20H2 upgrade was installed via Windows Updates;  SMB1 worked as it did before the upgrade.

    Hi, sorry but I think this is not the original problem on this thread. The problem you mention is a well known issue : smb v1 inactive on windows 10. Activate smb v1 will not solve the original problem.

    Yep, windows is totally garbage when comes to Network sharing stuff for normal user (e.g my parents) so normal users have to use USB Thumb to transfer 2mb files between computers in my house xD

    Anyway I had same issue, it solved my problem:

    Disclaimer....(This worked for me)

    First check Your network settings (private for me).

    Then Made sure my share permissions were what they suppose to be.

    Then Enable SMB Protocol thru Powershell:

    "Enable-WindowsOptionalFeature -Online -FeatureName SMB1Protocol"

    Restarted and everything worked like normal
