Win10 20H2 fixes the issue.
Previously when 2004 broke smb1, I rolled back.
There was no registry change or any other modification made to the system. After Win10 20H2 upgrade was installed via Windows Updates; SMB1 worked as it did before the upgrade.

i have open Control Panel > Program & Features > Turn Windows features on or off > look for SMB 1.0/CIFS Sharing support and DISABLE (un-tick) it.
- Reboot
- Control Panel > Program & Features > Turn Windows features on or off > look for SMB 1.0/CIFS Sharing support and ENABLE (tick) it.
- Reboot
- It should now work but next time laptop restart or shutdown then mapping network drive not open and hang and more process .

Looking for a permanent fix.
Am looking to wipe my system drive and re-install the previous version of W10 and disable automatic updates until a permanent SMB1 fix is implemented.

I am using the prerelease version of Windows 10 update 20H2 and this problem still remains. The SMB 1.0 client still disconnects after each reboot.
Come on Microsoft - this is been going on for 3 months!

We're WAY past this as being the issue. That was verified a LONG time ago without any resolution.
