Win10 20H2 fixes the issue.
Previously when 2004 broke smb1, I rolled back.
There was no registry change or any other modification made to the system. After Win10 20H2 upgrade was installed via Windows Updates; SMB1 worked as it did before the upgrade.

The only solution that works for me with the win 10 - 2004 version is to create a bat file and start it when logging in:
timeout /t 30
net use w: "\network name\folder" /persistent:no
be sure to put /persistent:no
this solution works great with NAS deluxe servers
timeout you can reduce!!!
ps.microsoft did not turn out fair to us who bought their product.

Thankyou. I cannot believe that this problem is being totally ignored. It has not only cost me thousands, but I haven't been in bed till 6am a couple of nights in a row. I have over 4tb of data that I had to convert from EXT4 to NTFS, now currently sorting it into where it should be...I'm tired and grumpy that MS decommissioned my Nas that was working beautifully before this update... heads need to roll due to incompetence. Seriously, if anyone is interested, I would love to create a class action for this ****!
A workaround (sort of) that works for me is this. Note I still lose all maps upon restart.
Start laptop.
Wait a few minutes
Windows key and then type RUN
Enter IP of Nas \192.168.xx.xx
Enter
In my case a window opens that shows all shares, (and my printer that is connected to the Nas).
Sometimes windows security asked for credentials, sometimes not. This is despite the credentials already being in Credential Manager.
FYI, I also have NFS switched on in the Nas.
I have the same issue on my laptop after upgrading to 2004. SMB1 is enabled and it wont let me connect to my Windows 2000 share. It work many other computers running older version of Windows10.
I did a test and updated another laptop to 2004 and SMB1 shared drive stop working.
We really need this to be working, please fix asap
