Outlook not saving passwords after windows 10 Update 2004

Please try these steps -

1. search credentials manager in start.
2. click windows credentials.
3. Delete all the credentials from there.
4. relaunch outlook, enter password and check the box remember password and see if that helps?

If that does not help try creating this registy key -

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\AutoDiscover

New Dword - ExcludeExplicitO365Endpoint and value of 1.

i did both solution but none of theme works for me, i have outlook 2016 and in other device outlook 2019 but every day i have to write password for all email account .

Its a shame that one is still pointed to as a solution.  I don't know if someone can unmark it as such and point to the workaround That was found and now is RECOMMENDED by Microsoft.

The only other solution that works to use a Microsoft userid for your logon.

Note if the task(s) found by the search they recommended is Important to you, then you can set it to only run when a user is logged in rather then the option run whether the user is logged in rather then disabling it.  The bug is that if the user is not logged in (to Microsoft?), they log you in and, because they also have do not store password, set, log you out after the task runs. This destroys all the active credentials based on your id.

This did not work for me in the long run.  The problem always came back after 2 or 3 restarts. 

At the end I found an article and disabled some HP utility in the startup. 

This solved all my problems:

• forgotten passwords in Outlook
• forgotten passwords in Edge

... forever (or at least till next W10 update :-)))

Finally a workaround that works for me.   It also resolved an issue with Edge not remembering passwords and addresses (autofill). 

... and I do not miss the HP utility at all ...
