I have also posted this on reddit

My probelm is exactly stated in the title, about three days ago I noticed my pc would randomly disconnect from the home Wifi only for Windows Troubleshoot to fix it (Either it was the defulat gatway or DNS). This was usully any problem our ISP (Virign media, UK) would have.

Now the problem is that I am completly unable to connect my pc to the wifi network, via a usb dongle or a new PCI card (TL-WN881ND V2, That i bought as I though the dongle was on the fritz) .

I am currently able to connect my pc to the internet via Usb tethering from my phone, But i'd prefer and more permanent solution.

I have attempted all the solucitons presented in the link below:

Any help would be grealy apreciated

Sorry for that.

Please extract all the files and paste on a new folder. Then open the device manager console, locate your device. right click the device and select update driver. Select the "browse my computer for driver software". Use the browse button to select the folder with the drivers extracted from the cab file and press next.

    Hi,

Please, open control panel and click over network and sharing Center. Then, click over setup a new connection or network. On the set up a connection or network wizard, select "Manually connect to a wireless network" option and click next. Hi Archive-8,

if in Settings> Network and Internet there is the Airplane Mode option, make sure it is disabled.

Are other devices in the house able to connect to wi-fi from the same location as the desktop PC?

Run the Troubleshooter and post the error message you get from Windows. If you prefer, post the screenshot.

If you have not already done so, uninstall the network adapter from Device Manager and then restart your PC. Windows will automatically reinstall the network adapter with its appropriate driver. While doing this test keep the other wi-fi adapter disabled.

Otherwise, try to reset the network connections: Open CMD or PowerShell and run as administrator, copy and paste the following commands by pressing enter at the end of each command line:

    netsh winsock reset

    netsh int ip reset

    netsh advfirewall reset

    ipconfig / flushdns

    ipconfig / release

    ipconfig / renew

Restart your computer at the end of all the commands.
