Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

My Lenovo T420 has "Conexant 20672 Smart Audio HD" at version 8.32.43.0" and appears to have a driver executable named "UIU64a.exe". Still stuck at 1909. This configuration is not mentioned in the MS known issues doc so I'm not sure where I stand with this problem.

Further to this - fortunately I have a later HP Envy without Conexant hardware.  I installed a clean near-out-of-box image of that on that, upgraded it to 20H2, then imaged its system drive, then restored that on each of the two older HP Envy PCs with Conexant hardware.  Oddly, the display on each went a bit nuts as to font sizes until I disabled the two Conexant drivers in msconfig in each PC, and so far each is behaving perfectly, just in time for me to miss the expiration of Microsoft's servicing of 1909 in May.

I had almost given up hope, but I finally received my 20H2 update yesterday for my T420 in WU. After the update finished I checked to find that the same old Conexant sound driver from 2012 is still there, with no change, and the sound still works fine. Have patience.

Windows showing a warning that the version 2004 is soon to be end of life, and the Conexant fix is not raedy: MAArch 2021. I will try replacing the conexant driver to a generic one to get the update... doing developer's work for windows instead of for my projects.

I just left the Conexant driver in place and kept waiting. The 20H2 update finally happened without any changes on my part. The same driver is still there and working fine.
