Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

    I did one workaround to upgrade to 2004 ( install the Lenovo Conexant not affected ) and I still on it until now. This morning MS offered me the 20H2 . But when I check the issue in MS official page, it is still listed as unresolved. Like many people here I am reluctant to do an upgrade.

    After the 2004 update, today got the 20H2 update as well. Had kept the Conexant driver installation blocked.

    Now I have disabled the Audio device driver update block. Just in case MS pushes an update for the driver. Because now we are not expecting any big Window updates.

    What would uninstalling the device achieve though? It should just reinstall on startup and I'd have the same driver.

    The block on 2004 has been removed for me but unlike others I don't have a new conexant driver available to give me confidence the block has not been removed in error.

    I was hoping others may have allowed the upgrade to 2004 to go ahead after the block was removed without a new driver and be able to confirm there were no issues.

    Maybe MS will eventually update their issues list with details of what has changed.

    I followed the steps posted by SycrJohnny on August 30 . You can find it on page 3 of this post.  Please also read his post on Sept 3 ( same page ) before you make the decision.
