Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

In one of my threads I gave a link which applies the generic Micrsoft sound drivers. You then block windows update (my thread has instructions). Then update. It seems to work for most who have tried it.

In general, it's pathetic - and of course MS could write drivers if they really wanted to - it's a commercial decision by Synaptics (owners of Conexant) which should colour all your future purchases.

    Hi,

was that the person's opinion or was it an official statement from Microsoft?

    Cheers!

Can you please give me the link to the thread ? I would like to try out your solution.

To answer your question, to me, it didn't seem to be his own opinion, also he never said anything about it being an official statement either.

But I did contact him through Microsoft Support, so I do believe him about what he said to me.

On the feedback hub, it seems only "Suggestions" can be upvoted. Any listed "Problems" cant be upvoted, and unfortunately, you listed the issue under problems.
