Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

I do not have an insider account. Nor do I plan to create one.

Anyway, seeing a few months have gone by without having fixed it, I do not really think they care much about our suggestions.

Comment done the 30 09 2020... When will come the next version of Windows 10? Probably sooner?

I took a little bit of a risk and just wanted to give you my case:

I uninstalled the conexant drivers, kept the generic ones, I updated to Windows 2004 . Driver was still the generic one, then I installed the Toshiba Conexant driver (dated at 2016, version 8.66.24.51 according to device manager) and so far, no problem at all

I have no issues, haven't had a bluscreen, not even a restart, stability seems perfect.

Can't say that the same thing will happen with you but you could try taking the risk if you have my driver version or newer

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

Just today I had a chat with a Microsoft support staff, and he informed me that Microsoft can't fix the issue. Only Conexant can resolve this as Microsoft have no control over Conexant Drivers. 

 I Have lost all hope of resolving this issue. I was hoping Microsoft can resolve this issue. But that seems far fetched at this moment.

This is the end of the lifetime of my Notebook.

Now I have to Run an older version of windows, like those pirated versions, despite having a license key.

If you read back in this thread you will see that several of us have successfully installed 2004 by temporarily disabling the the offending drivers. After upgrading to 2004 some of us have let windows reload the Conexant driver and there seems to be no problems subsequently.  In my case, I have an ASUS laptop that's been working fine for the last two weeks. So before you consider your laptop dead you might want to give it a try.
