Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

    First I resuscitated the laptop by loading a backup disc image of the operation system :-)

    I would suggest that block all hardware Ids (Even though only the most general Id is enough to block it) being shown by the device manager for the Conexant Audio device.

    I also have the ASUS VivoBook. And same thing happened to me, after 2004 update Conexant audio was again installed by Windows Update and it didnt cause any BSODs

    However I have just uninstalled and blocked it again just to be cautious.

    But one thing is for sure, if Conexant driver is causing issues in 2004 upgrade and MS is not allowing it, then how come After 2004 update MS allows that driver to be installed automatically. Shouldn't they block the driver also ?

    That's why I suggest NOT to try any trick to update to 2004.

    Let's see if MS and Synaptics (new Conexant owner) fix the driver. Isn't taking toooo long for such big companies?

    Meanwhile I am using Debian 10 GNU/Linux which works perfectly out of the box in my Lenovo Thinkpad E550.
