Lenovo has also sold a lot of laptop with Conexant audio, I own one, my PC is less than 3 years old and still stuck on update 4 months after the problem is known with Windows 2004... and unfortunately Conexant is out of business since late 2017!
Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers
So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

I can verify that MS's warning is correct. I have the dreaded Conexant drivers on an ASUS Zen Book. I tried to manually update using the iso and it ended with a BSOD in the second boot phase.

2020-08-17T07:08:51+00:00 Incidentally, I am on a ThinkPad from Lenovo.
I got excited a couple of days go because the annoying information* graphic on the "on its way/we haven't fixed this yet" message disappeared - but it's back now.
* and after 72 days o f no update - the "information" now says updated August 06 - but there's no actual information beyond a safeguard compliance number for those who use that.
Would you employ a programmer who couldn't fix a single driver in 11 weeks and 2 days?

2020-08-17T04:56:49+00:00 I´m in the same situation as you
I got a Toshiba satellite s55t with conexant audio drivers. Would like to update to windows 10 but it's impossible because of the conexant driver. Was thinking of updating with the media creation tool software, but i don't know if it will be unstable.
I'm really considering now of partitioning my hdd and install ubuntu there.
