Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

    I have a Medion laptop around 7 years old, when the option to install Windows 10 was offered I partioned the hard drive & installed 10 Pro. and when 7 stopped being supported I installed 10 Home on that partion. Initially the 2004 update wasn't offered on both but it's on its way.

    For the last 3 months or so the 10 Pro. partition has offered me the update with the Conexant drivers changed to Microsoft drivers by Microsoft, don't know when that happened, the 10 home drivers are still Conexant with 2004 still on it's way.  Doesn't make sense!!, I agrre does anybody care.

    well i am a SEO consultant so i am pretty much always online and need the PC to be in tip top shape but having said that, i don't really install major updates unless i am 100% sure they run properly as i am not bothered fixing and tweaking stuff, which i have done over the years and takes ages sometimes...

    so i am pondering on this one, maybe yes maybe not

    The same applies to just about any upgrade since about Windows 7. (Other than security - and there are new protocols in the 2004 build- but most people won't need them yet e.g. WPA3)

    If you only edit docs and browse the internet, I'd agree, it's not urgent until he security fixes stop coming for the build you are using.

    RIght, but the question is.... is it worth it? My wife's lenovo has the update available and we haven't installed it and this Asus from 2017 i am now on, with the dreaded audio drivers issue is also on previous release and works like clockwork.
