Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

I am on 20H2 now after signing up for Windows Insider.  I have that level running on 3 Win10ProX64 systems.  Only one of them (my 'daily driver' so to speak) had the conexant issues.  I did nothing overtly to bypass the restrictions to get 2004, I simply went to the Windows download and installed it in spite of it having reported issues.  I have seen no issues in about 1 months worth of daily usage.  My one disclaimer is that I'm not a gamer, I use my laptop for MS Office and Firefox surfing mainly.  I sometimes watch Amazon Prime videos too along with a couple of Zoom sessions.

My opinion is that the conexant issues for the 2004 update will never be resolved.  The limited resources that Synaptics (the current owner of the conexant drivers) has devoted for this will probably spend their time on whatever comes beyond the 2004 update.

My Toshiba Satellite P50 has updated to 2004 today. I did not do anything to the laptop other than check windows update. I wonder when it will get the October update. I notice that some drivers have an issue date of 2019 now eg audio inputs and outputs.

So far everything seems to be working

I approve khaiphan idea if it works for SycrJohnny it should work for DisplayNameWasTaken. If not you can just rollback to your previous windows version. To extract the exe file download and install 7zip

I followed the steps posted by SycrJohnny on August 30 . You can find it on page 3 of this post.  Please also read his post on Sept 3 ( same page ) before you make the decision.
