Updating to Windows 10 Version 2004/Conexant Drivers

So what do people with computers with Conexant drivers do? Windows Update says update drivers but there are none acceptable, it also says Microsoft is working on a fix ? So what do we do? If there are compatible drivers for devices using Conexant Audio where are they, how do we get them and install or replace them (I have tried everything to no avail). When does MS expect a fix ? Are persons with Conexant audio drivers computers at end of life ? Does anybody care ?

It is a joke that they did not find a solution after 2 releases 2H1 and now 2H2 for the conexant driver issue.

will hope that Microsoft will extend the lifecycle for W10 1909 when they are not able to fix the  issue before may 2021.

    Problem solved!!

Everything working like a charm. In my opinion, the only reason why GNU/Linux is not for everyone is just because it does not come pre-installed in every system.

    Good luck to you all.

    Best regards,

    Miguel

    Hi,

I do not think they (M$ and Synaptics) care much about their customers. That's what usually happens when there so much power concentrated in so few.

My Thinkpad is 5 years old so I would consider myself lucky having got here (it came with Windows 8.1).

Anyway I use windows just because a program which exists for Windows and Mac only. If it were not for this I would install Debian right now.

    Kind regards,

    Miguel

I am hoping you are right but until it happens and it solves the block on further Windows 10 version updating, I will have to consider it a speculation of hope, certainly not a resolution, at least not yet...the wait continues, good luck techs.  By leaving it open perhaps another user will find a solution and post it.

                           Thanks... again
