File History: Element Not Found Error on Windows 10 May 2004

Using Windows 10 May 2004 edition with a brand new install of File History on two different machines now, I have managed to run into the following issue.

Selecting Clean up versions, then "Clean up":

I get the following dialog:

Again, this is on two different machines, with a clean install.

Note that I am using a simple folder with a 4KB file within it, although I first saw this on a fully-configured install with about 1.5TB worth of data within it.  This led me to diagnosing the issue and ultimately trying it on these two separate machines with a clean install.

Is this a known issue for 2004?

    You have to wonder with the announcement of Windows 11 if they are going to use some of the money they will be collecting from consumers to actually fix their broken software, or if it's going to go to designers to make more desktop background wallpaper. 🤔

    This is a CRITICAL issue that still EXIST!! Even in 21H1 build 19043.1023 of Windows 10. I wonder if anyone in Microsoft can help in getting this on the radar of something that needs to be reviewed.

    I am surprised how Microsoft is just ignoring, not even confirm to have a bug since month in file history.

    I am shocked how much bugged 2004 is (20H2 is just to 2004). Did you even know that system files are corrupted on a clean 2004 installation? Just install 2004/20H2 with a clean ISO and directly run "sfc /scannow". It will find and correct corrupted files.

    Sorry for my rant, but this is so frustrating how much things got broke on 2004 and nothing is happening.
