Site passwords are lost after each reboot since a recent windows 10 update.

I also have the problem of losing "all" my passwords including Adobe PS, MS Outlook pop email sign-ins, MS Windrive etc.

To the layman like myself, it would appear that the folders where these passwords are stored are being wiped on exit or as an alternative not being saved properly.  IE in a temp folder or similar.  

Hopefully, Windows' techs are aware of the problem and that it will be fixed.  

The cause was the 2004 update.  No problems prior to that.

Your problem could very well be IE itself. I have not used IE in years because of it's lack of security and numerous problems as I have always used Firefox. You might try signing in to your MS account on IE to see if your passwords reappear and sync your settings in the browser. Personally I have IE turned off in my computer. I know you had to sign in to MS account on Edge and on Chrome you had to sign in to your Google account to get your passwords so that may be with IE now. I know you no longer need to do so with EDGE and I got rid of Chrome. Make sure your computer has no outstanding updates left to install. It is always a good idea to backup your saved passwords on a weekly basis. Good luck.

Thanks for that.  I use Chrome as a default browser but also have Firefox.  In Chrome once I log in to Youtube then all my browser passwords are restored from that memory source.

Firefox log in information is also missing on restart.

Adobe Photoshop, filter software with Photoshop require me to sign in again.

My pop.email in MS Outlook also lost all log in info initially but that has cleared up.  No idea how that was sorted.  Just pleased that it has.

It would appear that all my security credentials are being wiped on exiting Windows and closing down my machine.

The problem does appear to come from the Windows update.  Everything was fine prior to that.

You can appreciate how annoying it all is especially when we have so much two factor authentication these days.

I have the exact same problem after the last big Microsoft 2004 update.  Finally, here is something that has "helped" avoid the problem.  

First after restart, I login (if asked) to my Microsoft account id...johndoe@microsoft.com, and password, and then I start Google Chrome (my default browser).

I login to Google Chrome with the SAME account id (johndoe@microsoft.com).  I have a different password for Chrome/gmail etc., but once I started Google Chrome (or YouTube), from then on most of the time when I restart my pc (Windows 10 64), the Google Chrome id/password and pop.email passwords and others are there again when restarting my browser.

That's pretty much what I do when logging in.  That certainly brings back all my Chrome and MS passwords but of course I still need to sign in to Twitter, LinkedIn, Ebay etc. 

I also saw a potential cure for some: In the search bar type "settings", Click "Accounts",  on the settings there you might find you are not "Automatically" signed in or have to "Verify" your ID etc.  Check these settings are all automatic.

Today all my settings/passwords worked except "Adobe."  I had to sign in there but other than that, so far so good.  Long may it continue or at least until MS get a fix.
