Received an update last week. Ever since then, I lose my saved passwords for all websites that I had set to be saved after rebooting my system. This only started after this most recent update.

Thank god I found this thread. I've been going nuts with this problem since the 2004 update. The initial fix, as suggested by MS tech support, was to create a new profile. This worked for a month or so, but now I have to regularly:

Enter the passwords for my email accounts in Outlook (desktop), albeit not all of them every time

Enable permissions for Microsoft to access Gmail to connect Outlook to that account

    Log into Creative Cloud

Log into my Google account every time I start Chrome

Log in to OneDrive every time I restart my PC.

Additionally, Outlook crashes randomly, making me log in to the accounts again, whilst also failing to fetch mail. This has continued through an uninstall to remove a corporate flavour and new of 365.

This does not happen on my partner's desktop, nor on my creaky old laptop.

    Hi David,

I realised that as well so first signed in to Youtube or Google whilst in the Chrome browsers.  The annoying thing is that is ok for a few days then reverts to wiping all my passwords.  This also includes things like Adobe and other software on my PC.  Plugins within my video editing software for example.  Most of my passwords are two-step verification so I have to leave my phone on as well to acknowledge that it really is me logging in.

    Please MS get it fixed.

Thanks for your reply - appreciated.

I had the same problem with the Chrome/Edge/Firefox browsers after the update and not remembering the passwords (auto fill was disabled) .   But, after a while I realized that it had only signed me out of my google account. Once I reentered my info for google and sync for Firefox the auto fill for passwords worked again.  However I still have to sign into it after every reboot.   I also use Windows 10 mail program.  It also wipes out all passwords after every reboot.  It is a pain but I am dealing with it.  Hope to get that fixed when Microsoft actually realizes that it is a problem.

    Hi John,

That's pretty much what I do when logging in.  That certainly brings back all my Chrome and MS passwords but of course I still need to sign in to Twitter, LinkedIn, Ebay etc.

I also saw a potential cure for some: In the search bar type "settings", Click "Accounts",  on the settings there you might find you are not "Automatically" signed in or have to "Verify" your ID etc.  Check these settings are all automatic.

Today all my settings/passwords worked except "Adobe."  I had to sign in there but other than that, so far so good.  Long may it continue or at least until MS get a fix.

    Thanks,

    George
