Site passwords are lost after each reboot since a recent windows 10 update.

Regret to say that did not work for me.  Great to hear that is solved your problem.  Will keep trying to find a solution.

I'm not sure this is the answer:  but it seemed like it took 2 reboots and then checking again to make sure the scheduled task was disabled.  It was almost as if the scheduled task was already scheduled after I first disabled. 

VERY frustrating problem to have to keep re-entering Chrome and Windows and OneDrive, Twitter, etc. passwords.  I avoid rebooting or powering off at night now.

Did you do a clean install of Windows or retain your settings?

If it was a clean install then for myself that would be no walk in the park after it was reinstalled. 

I did a clean install, having copied my data from Users to another drive beforehand. Once the install completed, and I had logged in, I copied it back to the new user directory. The problem has gone away on that machine. I did need to reinstall programs too, of course, but as all these are available online - Office  and Adobe CC, mainly - that wasn't too stressful. The time taken was worth the removal of the constant buggeration of having to reenter passwords.

Of course, now the PC is working, my laptop has started exhibiting the same problem... Sigh. Meanwhile, my other half has had no problems at all. Ain't technology wonderful!

I only had the one task and that was HP Laserjet printer.  Have disabled it but it was created the same day as the Windows update.  Will see how that goes.

I had two tasks that were HP Warrantychecker listed, which I disabled.  So far no problems resurfaced, and my HP Officejet printer is still working fine.
