Audio Not Working After Windows 10 Version 2004 Update

I have not found any as I have been busy this week but will try today to see if I can fix this

Prior to blowing my old version away and re installing windows 10 pro , I had great working audio but issues with my win 10 PRO so I reloaded via Microsoft's website on re installing a clean version of win 10 pro . It took almost 7 1/2 hours to re install as it blew everything away on my drive  which I was impressed to be honest . After it completed I had no audio as I tried almost every solution here and other places to date . My Plantronics blu tooth headset works but its has its own set of audio drivers .  I have hearing aids due to hearing damage so its a pain in the A&& changing between all the damned time .  One thing I DID notice is that I have no real tek drivers loaded on my machine  so I know THIS has to be a part of the issue as I have no drivers installed and I tried re installing them prior to this with no luck - Windows version 19041 on an HP desktop intel core i7-3770 cpu 3.40 ghz  with 12 g of memory . Been on this for 2 weeks now and probably chasing over 2 dozen solutions etc. Yada yada , with still no solution and its a real pain  . Seeing the real tek driver solution and location here I'll give it a shot as I have  Tried all sorts of solutions and hours of time trying to fix this . I'll post after I get a chance to test this one out !

iN THE REAL tEK - IF YOU GO TO THE DEVICE MANAGER- SOUND- THEN UPDATE DRIVERS- 

From the Computer ( not internet )

Select - let me choose

then untick the box that has COMPATIBLE to my PC

It will show ALL drivers

Find the Real Tek and try it

you can always roll back

you will need to restart pc

This didn't workfor me

nothing is working

but it has worked for some people

I'm copying files to another hard drive and then will do a reset

I won't allow windows to update again

this is insanity

they've had problems over a year now

this was what someone suggested to me

pick the driver by unticking compatible box

#5 on this list

It didn't work for me but has worked for others

  I had same problem. After installing 2004 version, my realtek settings in Realtek HD Audio Manager were changed so that if I had headphones plugged in front that back panel was disabled for my speakers under the device advanced settings. Changed it to "make front and rear output devices play on two different audio streams simultaneously" and it is back to the way it used to be by default.

Solution 5 on this website did, immediately, even without rebooting:

In short:

1. Press Windows + X to launch the quick start menu and select “Device Manager” from the list of options available.
2. Once in the Device manager, expand “Sound, video and game controllers” category.
3. Right-click on your sound device and select “Update Driver”. Now an option will come forth whether to install the drivers automatically or manually. Select “Browse my computer for driver software”.
4. Now select “Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer”.
5. Uncheck the option “show compatible hardware” to ensure that all the results are listed in your drivers list. Navigate through all the drivers until you find “High Definition Audio Device”. Select it and press Next.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation. Restart your computer and check if the problem is solved.

Solution 5 after I found those drivers and reloaded them . 

Headset AND speakers working !

4 weeks now trying to fix this .. 

My laptop went thru a similar issue whereby windows forced it to upgrade and THAT lost its drivers also . Both desktop and laptop now have audio !
