Hello

My audio is still not working after the recent Winows 10 Version 2004 update.

It causes the system to auto lockdown after initial booting and the audio functions are now totally lost.

Please let me know what is current status to fix these bugging issues.

Appreciate your urgent attention and reply.

I think these type of issues are pretty much in line with a lot of big companies. When they happen they say nothing and provide next to no help.

They release something that wrecks peoples computers but want us to spend hours, days and longer trying to fix the issues they caused.

Some more updates will get pushed out and for all you know it may make matters worse or if you found a work around it may interfere with the new update and you are back to square one if not worse.

But in the end we continue buying/using their products and as such endorse their behavior in this regard.

Some penalties should start happening for major ****'s like this

I think I have tried many of those as well . One I did not is to try and reinstall real tek drivers as I had problems trying to find the right ones but am following a provided link here , which I am waiting for the download to finish . I'll post and let everyone know ..  After this , I'm lost and have no clue as it can't be THAT difficult to pull some logs and design a fix or find the problem and build a solution ( Microsoft ) . Probably a bother for them to help us !

    THIS IS INSANE

The amount of sound issues on Windows 10

I thought ( originally ) it was my faukt & spent weeks trying to fix it

I then went to feedback - submitted feedback at least 4 times- hoping for a reply- got zero from Microsoft

I came here & found so many people - dating back 1 year

So Microsoft have had this problem for a year & it's not fixed

I tried these things- they may help you

I get ping sounds- but that's it ( a clicking sound)

It's as if the microphone is going non stop - but no speakers

(according to the sound properties & test buttons)

These are the 1st things I tried- they seemed to help a lot of people who have sound problems- but not me

I think mine is some files windows update deleted & didn't install - as I have ony a few update history files & no old system restore files

it's just disappeared from my PC

I'm doing a reset now- but having to copy everything onto a hard drive & installing windows 10 onto a flash drive

so I have all my files" incase "

It says almost 2 days to copy everything

    very VERY annoying

but I hope one of these videos help you

    Hi

I've tried updating drivers from my PC

    Disabling drivers etc

I found multiple solutions- but none have worked

Theses are videos I have tried- these din't work for me - but maybe will for you

I'm installing windows 10 onto a flash drive

transferring all files pics etc to a hard drive- disconnecting those & resetting PC

going back to windows 7 & seeing if anything can work from there

I also have my printer not scanning now either

The files in my windows update history show only 5 files- (where's the rest ???? )

It also has my system restore for only 2 times- i've restored before from preious versions

I suggested you check your windows update history & system restore too - to see if it's what has happened to me

SOME files didn't load & some have disappeared

I believe it's deletd old files during update & has failed to up date newer files

    ( could be wrong)

    I tried these suggestions

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CDXgMyQ8Rvw

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ncO8vekrfao

    THEN I TRIED THESE

    ^NOTHING WORKED FOR ME^

    GOOD LUCK :-)

Prior to blowing my old version away and re installing windows 10 pro , I had great working audio but issues with my win 10 PRO so I reloaded via Microsoft's website on re installing a clean version of win 10 pro . It took almost 7 1/2 hours to re install as it blew everything away on my drive  which I was impressed to be honest . After it completed I had no audio as I tried almost every solution here and other places to date . My Plantronics blu tooth headset works but its has its own set of audio drivers .  I have hearing aids due to hearing damage so its a pain in the A&& changing between all the damned time .  One thing I DID notice is that I have no real tek drivers loaded on my machine  so I know THIS has to be a part of the issue as I have no drivers installed and I tried re installing them prior to this with no luck - Windows version 19041 on an HP desktop intel core i7-3770 cpu 3.40 ghz  with 12 g of memory . Been on this for 2 weeks now and probably chasing over 2 dozen solutions etc. Yada yada , with still no solution and its a real pain  . Seeing the real tek driver solution and location here I'll give it a shot as I have  Tried all sorts of solutions and hours of time trying to fix this . I'll post after I get a chance to test this one out !
