Crackling audio after update to 2004

After updating Win10 to 2004, I get crackling audio when I use Razer Surround Pro software. When I switch my audio output, I get normal audio. This only happens when I use Surround Pro.

Edit: Still talking with razer support but I ultimately believe this is an issue with the 2004 update. I hope there's a fix for this soon, although I don't mind still using 1909.

Edit: this is the reply from Razer I got today:

Good day!

We receive an update from our appropriate department that our Audio team is checking on the path forward. Should there be a fix, it will come in the form of a software update. Please check the synapse update from time to time.

Thanks.

Edit: I don't understand why, but having bluestacks running in the background fixes the issue.

Can confirm this is still an issue. Just this afternoon finally updated from 1909 to 2004 and immediately noticed the crackling audio issue. Google search found this thread, I immediately reverted back to 1909 and changed my group policy to ensure it won't update again until this is fixed.

The Razer Surround spatial audio is the best solution I've ever found and I refuse to go without it while gaming. Microsoft needs to fix this issue.

Sadly, it turned out, that my solution wasn't the update which i got from the razer support.

It's the connected Oculus Rift S.

I just pulled the plug and tidied up the HMD and suddenly the crackling was back again.

So i've plugged in the HMD again and the sound is okay again with all 3 output devices

(The PC only recognizes a third audio device since the autostart is deactivated, no additional software or service, like Oculus, is loaded - Oculus/Thrid-party stuff is first loaded when i open the OculusTrayTool or start the Oculus software manually. I originally did it that way because the HMD then draws almost no power and you can cover the screen without any problems, and i get no "reconnect errors" like many others who just use the standby mode. But well, that's offtopic...)

So this fix would cost a few hundred €.

btw: Razer was also informed immediately.

And yeah, it's not really a Microsoft problem....Software manufacturers like Razer have to adapt to OS innovations and changes, especially since these were most likely also carried out in the context of security - we have had a similar problem 1-2 years ago.

Unless someone finds out how does bluestack fix the problem and someone makes a program out of it...
