Crackling audio after update to 2004

After updating Win10 to 2004, I get crackling audio when I use Razer Surround Pro software. When I switch my audio output, I get normal audio. This only happens when I use Surround Pro.

Edit: Still talking with razer support but I ultimately believe this is an issue with the 2004 update. I hope there's a fix for this soon, although I don't mind still using 1909.

Edit: this is the reply from Razer I got today:

Good day!

We receive an update from our appropriate department that our Audio team is checking on the path forward. Should there be a fix, it will come in the form of a software update. Please check the synapse update from time to time.

Thanks.

Edit: I don't understand why, but having bluestacks running in the background fixes the issue.

    It's finally fixed!

The update isn't rolled out atm, but i got it via email from razer tech support. Seems i had luck and a bit of good timing if it's not just not laziness. :D

The software version inside the surround sound app settings is 2.21.

What was the previous version number? I mean, was the number increased with that file at all?

    e:

The log file says, that it's the same driver and configurator versions as my previous installation.

    (C:\ProgramData\Razer\Installer_RazerSurround\Logs)

What I can imagine now is that they didn't have to update any drivers etc, but change the way in which they install and use them.

Razer Tech Support told me that they no longer support the Synapse Legacy thing... Dunno why they have different answers from us both?...

People have paid for Razer Surround Sound, so they can't just leave it as it is if it stops working because of a system update, even though it should still be running because Windows 10 is supported. Headsets and software were sold separately.

Nobody would buy their newer products because they would have to fear the same.

And support answers always depend on the question and how it is asked.

By the way, and i asked for a key for the newer software. As a user of the old surround sound app, you don't get a key for the new software. Also a reason why they had to fix the "legacy" app.

    Quote:

"Please note that the upgraded version 7.1 Surround Sound is only supporting the Kraken X and Kraken 2019. Your headset is only supported with the Surround Pro. If you had an old code with your Surround Pro please keep on using that."

So, if it worked for you, maybe, you can share with us

And one more question. This is the other version of synapse, isn't it?
