Razer Tech Support told me that they no longer support the Synapse Legacy thing... Dunno why they have different answers from us both?...
Crackling audio after update to 2004
After updating Win10 to 2004, I get crackling audio when I use Razer Surround Pro software. When I switch my audio output, I get normal audio. This only happens when I use Surround Pro.
Edit: Still talking with razer support but I ultimately believe this is an issue with the 2004 update. I hope there's a fix for this soon, although I don't mind still using 1909.
Edit: this is the reply from Razer I got today:
Good day!
We receive an update from our appropriate department that our Audio team is checking on the path forward. Should there be a fix, it will come in the form of a software update. Please check the synapse update from time to time.
Thanks.
Edit: I don't understand why, but having bluestacks running in the background fixes the issue.

2020-10-09T09:45:57+00:00 It's finally fixed!
The update isn't rolled out atm, but i got it via email from razer tech support. Seems i had luck and a bit of good timing if it's not just not laziness. :D
The software version inside the surround sound app settings is 2.21.
What was the previous version number? I mean, was the number increased with that file at all?
e:
The log file says, that it's the same driver and configurator versions as my previous installation.
(C:\ProgramData\Razer\Installer_RazerSurround\Logs)
What I can imagine now is that they didn't have to update any drivers etc, but change the way in which they install and use them.

2020-10-03T16:05:38+00:00 Hey everyone,
I have the same issue but you can fix it by installing an app called BlueStacks. I should point out this is not an ad or anything. Bluestacks is an android game launcher for windows, kinda like Steam. You don't have to buy anything or launch anything other than the launcher. just install it and launch the app then minimize it. I have no idea how or why it works but it must be the way the launcher hooks into the audio driver or something. I just know that it does work. I won't link to it, just Google it so you can also vet it at the same time before you install.
I should also say that the better solution would be to find a new surround sound emulator as this version Razer Surround is no longer supported and you can't use the new version with anything other than Razer headsets (I use Sennheiser Game One). I know because I contacted Razer support for compatibility. I've just been lazy and haven't tried any others. Has anyone tried the Sourceforge Equalizer Pro that another user suggested?
I saw this solution posted in another forum and thought it was some scam or something but I did a cursory check into Bluestacks and it seems legit. So I'll say this, if you feel uncomfortable installing the app, do a deep dive on its legitimacy first. Always be weary of weird solutions like this. I certainly was. Good luck!
