Hello! Since I installed the cumulative update that I can't commit to GitHub using TortoiseSVN. It says the file I want to commit is outdated or something. The workaround was to upload manually.

I have just spent several hours fixing my laptop which was working perfectly before the July updates. I even make sure I have system image each month stored on USB drives, however, I did not anticipate that a Microsoft update would block any possibility of rolling back to a previous working image !! When I rebooted after the updates, the 2 x USB 3 ports were not working. I tested using a PC fan that the ports were operative, but Windows device manager showed two yellow bangs, and sure enough, they were effectively banjaxed. After reading several fixes, I tried uninstall/reinstall drivers, USB troubleshooter (showed no issues !!), Updating the drivers, sfc /scannow, the 3 x DISM commands (health, scan, restore), nothing seemed to work. I tried the bcdedit commands - unable to complete as they are protected. The error looked as if the drivers had attempted to be updated by the Windows Update, but a mismatch seemed to result in Windows being unable to "migrate" the drivers due to being unable to verify signature (but surely these are Windows drivers ??). This is the error :- Device USB\ROOT_HUB30\5&293fe4c4&2&0 was not migrated due to partial or ambiguous match. Qualified by :- Device USB\ROOT_HUB30\5&293fe4c4&2&0 had a problem starting. Driver Name: usbhub3.inf Class Guid: {36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000} Service: USBHUB3 Lower Filters: Upper Filters: Problem: 0x34 Problem Status: 0xC0000428 I have now "fixed" the problem by disabling driver signing verification via advanced startup options - boom - started working immediately after reboot. Mysteriously after submitting a couple of troubleshooting reports my wireless connection has started to work again but my USB connection is still not communicating. I don't want to uninstall my updates. I was hoping others were having issues and we'd all get a "fix".

Wow, You are more educated on this matter but we have equal troubles. I've been dealing with this off and on for 2 days and it has indeed created a big problem for my work and my time management. Sounds like your "fix" is not a real fix since you are disabling an important component. Microsoft, please give us a real fix!

I just figured this out! My USB ports were disabled (discovered under my printer hardware properties) from the security update from 07/14/2020. It was grayed out and I couldn't enable them, so I clicked on a Windows Security Icon at the left bottom of the small window (regarding printer hardware), which opened a new small window, and was a mirror of the original small window, only the enable button was not grayed out and I was allowed to click on it. I did not have to restart my computer. The printer was immediately functional via USB. Hope this is understandable and hope it helps everyone.
