I have a surface laptop 3 but still haven't received 2004 may update. It keeps saying that it will be coming soon.

Yes but not MSDOS 1.2 & IBM 1.1 like. LOL Which I liked BTW! Except for poor stranded single users, Government and industry should treat this as all installs. Download on a test unit and DT/OT it for everything Add/delete/change features or skip as needed Selective deploy one on a known victim to see how it plays with the others in the work environment Large companies deploy in one section only for 60 days Then think about deployment site wide Everything is behind your company's multiple layers of firewalls so security should not be an issue (if everything is set up correctly). Your security tech is worth paying to do quality advanced work. Don't skimp on security. You don't need or want everything so think smaller. Block personal email accounts and most web sites. Consider a closed network. Have a honey pot/if you travel have a portable honey pot. Internet café for personal use Don't allow portable memory devices (as well as CD/DVDs that are not checked and closed) on company computer's Remember it took years in a military environment for the latest OS updates to be deployed. We were on XP forever and even paid Microsoft to support it after it expired. Poor abused single stranded users one step from the hospital! It's boring I know, but don't be the first adopt anything unless you have multiple computers and a quarterly clone of your main drive. I had a drive have sporadic errors which could never be found. So R&Rd it with my clone on another brand and had no issues. The only issue is some Surface and tablet users can't R&R a drive. So live like it's your last meal if all you have is a sealed tablet. Lastly all is not greener on the other side of the hill. Be careful not to throw out the prime rib for a FF from MacDonald's'. MS putting windows security into the internal OS was a game changer. My son had a change of religion at that point in time/LOL. Remember back in the Civil War that universities were flocking to new website and OS from other companies. That did not work out at all as they discovered that people actually have to communicate with each other world wide as well as internally. Interoperability, usability, and compatibility are good test words. As much as I love MS, they need to be slower pushing non security updates. I know it's a sales issue but be sure it totally works with early adopters in an industrial work environment as well as home users. And yes, some new features are actually security related.
