how to fix Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004 failed - 0xc19001e1

Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004 failed to install all the way.  I have tried twice to get this update and both times it did not complete all the way / only 86% then failed.  When I check for updates again I get:

Feature update to Windows 10, version 2004

the next version of Windows is available with new features and security improvements.  When you're ready for update, select "Download and install"

Can someone help me with this update problem?

    error code   0x80070714 when i use https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and select update.

    Standard windows update from Win 10 version 1909 still fails to update to 2004. MS needs to fix their own updates before they decide to send them out

    They updated me to 2004 on 10/14 and it worked fine. Then on 10/29 I was updated to 20H2.OS 19042.572. And it worked ok for a while, until I had update KB4580364 update to OS build 19042.610. I had a blue screen during boot, which windows fixed. From then on I had boot problems. When I pushed power button it would start, display HP logo and shut down. Secnd time I pushed power button it would start ok. I contibute this to the fact I was on a 32gb laptop which did not support HDR. Then it got to where driver KB 4580364 was trying to install repeatedly. It is now at HP for repair.

    I have a 1TB SSD on a high end computer built 2 years ago and it will not update, so I find it hard to believe "the issue is simply this:  There is not enough room on the C drive".
